My name is TaylorRae!

You're here to learn about me so where do I start?!

I'm a desert-dwelling,  23 year old gal with a love for photography, chicken tenders, and Jesus!

I am blessed with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a full-time job as a behavioral health tech. When I'm not working at my job or on my side hustle, I get to co-host a podcast with my husband called Revolutionary Ruckus, or can be found editing photos, lettering, or doing any kind of craft I can... I have an intimate relationship with my hot glue gun.

Photography is something special to me because of the unique way I get to serve people through it. Listen: I knoooooww you probably aren't that comfortable in front of a camera, such FEW people are! I understand that photographing people is so much more than taking pretty photos but making those people, who have trusted me in their most special moments, feel comfortable, beautiful, and loved from behind the lens.

I've been married to the man of my literal DREAMS since August 2018. If you're lucky, he'll join us as my assistant for your shoot or work as a your wedding videographer! When Josh and I met, I started doing CrossFit with him and as a more than fair trade, he has learned how to help me out in this small business of ours.

He also takes a large part in writing for our blog.

You can check that out HERE!

It's also noooo secret to our friends (that's YOU) that the income we make through this business goes directly and soley towards our student loans or, as we like to call it, "the baby fund"... no pressure ;)

So with an education in psychology, a full-time job in behavioral health, and a promising future in CrossFit (lololololol), why be a photographer?? Well that's a great question, my friend!

Photography is where my love for making AND emotionally supporting collide. A therapy session and photo session are two places where people are their most vulnerable - not to mention the emotional rollercoaster of a wedding day!  I completely understand all of the nerves and insecurities that bubble up inside when a camera is in your face. But I also know that God has given me an ability to make people feel valued, safe, loved, and like I am so excited for them. Because, guess what? I am!!

More so, often, we're not able to see ourselves the way that God sees us; that is: beautiful, loved, and fearfully made. I know that God has given me a gift to capture people in that way. I get to return images to my clients that show them how God sees them. That is my gift.

When it comes to capturing couples in love (my absolute favorite), I get to be reminded of my own love story between myself and my husband. These loves stories all point me to the best Love story of all; the one where Jesus pursues His bride so passionately that He lays down His life for her. Every time. No fail. I think of this.

This is me. This is my why and my everything. I love what I do so much and I am so thankful that this is the life and role God has given me.

Do I seem like just the right photographer for you?! Do you have a few more questions before making the commitment?
